About this model
The last generation of lightweight, reverse leadpipe C trumpets descended from Yamaha's storied collaboration with Renold Schilke. Produced in the 1980s and 1990s until the company began research into heavyweight trumpets that would become the Xeno line.
Playing characteristics
A great all-around C trumpet that is at home not just in the orchestra, but also in solo and chamber settings where delicate playing is required. Produces a dark, lyrical timbre at soft to moderate volume, but brightens when pushed. Has great flexibility and relatively low resistance, but still possesses Yamaha's characteristically precise intonation.
